German-Brazilian film professional passionate about horror and queer issues

Nairon is a German-Brazilian filmmaker and writer based in Berlin. He is currently working on getting his bachelor’s in film production. His biggest passion lies in the horror genre. He is especially fascinated by the way it addresses issues related to gender, sexuality, and queerness. From contemporary “elevated horror” to the classic Universal Monsters and Gothic Romances and sleazier exploitation flicks (especially from Italy). But he’s interested in all kinds of films and constantly seeks to broaden his horizon. He particularly values boutique Blu-ray labels when it comes to film discovery, since he also has a love for physical media, as well as a deep appreciation for film restoration and preservation.
