Edward Frumkin
Brooklyn-based neurodivergent film critic and culture writer
Edward Frumkin he has written for IndieWire, Frieze, The Daily Beast, BOMB, Reverse Shot, Interview Magazine, and elsewhere. His interests include the innovation of documentary filmmaking and looking back at film pioneers like Jean-Pierre Melville. He participated in the 2023 Tiff Media Inclusion Initiative and graduated from the Jonathan B. Murray Center for Documentary Journalism at the University of Missouri. He has also served as a screening committee member for True/False and Camden Documentary Film Festivals. In his free time, he performs open improv jams at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective (BCC), sees movies at his nearby Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), and attends comedy shows at Life World.
