Four fantasy slots that would work well as dirty movies

The fantasy genre could be enriched if these four mythical creatures were given a lease of life on the silver screen, argues Mariano Garcia

There is little doubt that the fantasy genre is enduringly popular. Filled with rich and fantastical stories, heroic protagonists, and loathsome villains, it instantly transports us to a world beyond our own. This is arguably why it’s spawned so many blockbuster hits, from the The Lord of the Rings franchise to Excalibur (John Boorman, 1981) and The NeverEnding Story (Wolfgang Petersen, 1985)

Surprisingly few of these films are based on original content. Most borrow their storylines from other already-existing sources, such as books, comics, video games, and TV shows. One area that has thus far gone unused, however, is the wonderful world of slots.

Filled with daring tales of heroism, mythical creatures, and magic, it has the most wonderful stories to share. Here are four fantasy slots we’d really like to see as films:

.

1. Rainbow Riches:

If there’s one slot that would translate perfectly onscreen, it’s Rainbow Riches. Featuring a cast of mythical beings, it turns on the concept of luck and has a leprechaun as its central character. The quest you’re sent on is simple: to find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Along the way, you’ll discover a series of exciting diversions, including a magical wishing well. A testament to the probable success of such a storyline is the popularity of the slot itself, which is one of the best-loved games in the industry.

2. Dragon’s Myth:

Pixabay What is a fantasy world without the addition of dragons? If you’re not sure either, you’d likely be interested in a film that centers around them, and this slot acts as the perfect source material. Telling the story of a young woman destined to become a dragon slayer, it incorporates the most sublime graphics, and we’d love to see these mythical creatures animated exactly as they are on our computer screens. If the concept isn’t appealing enough in itself, the slot also features a selection of adorable baby dragons for those lucky enough to find an egg.

3. Merlin’s Millions:

While we know that Merlin has been featured in dozens of films over the years, none have focused solely on his character. For this reason, we’d really like to see a screenplay that bucked this trend, and this slot would be a great source of inspiration. Revolving around the great enchanter himself, it features King Arthur as a side character but has Merlin as its protagonist. Colourful, beautifully animated, and accompanied by a movie-quality soundtrack, this is a story crying out for an adaptation.

.

4. Pixies of the Forest:

It’s not that pixies have never been seen in cinemas before, but that we can’t think of any adult films that have centred around them. We’ve always wanted one, and Pixies of the Forest has a story that we’d love to see adapted. Taking players deep into an enchanted forest, it comes complete with a magical quest, as all good fantasy films should. We adore how the characters are animated too and would like to see a similar aesthetic replicated on the big screen.
